"The
World's Most Beautiful Beaches"... with a style all its own.
White
sandy beaches, tropical emerald-green water and a year-round moderate
climate tempt visitors from all over the world. Many of our residents came
here on vacation first and didn't want to leave. There are over 27 miles
of beach on the Gulf of
Mexico
and
St.
Andrew
Bay
... and although life here is idyllic, it
isn't always quiet. Listen carefully and you'll hear the laughter of
adults and giggles of children, because we offer a wide range of
recreational activities ranging from fishing to boating, shell collecting
to sunbathing.
Within
a 30-mile radius are three state parks ranked among the nation's top 20
beaches. St. Andrews Park encompasses 1,063 acres of beaches, dunes, pine flat woods,
salt and freshwater marshes. Camping and picnic facilities are
abundant.
Shell
Island
, across the Bay, is an uninhabited
barrier island that can only be visited by boat.
Our
accommodations include nationally-recognized chain affiliates and resorts,
plus impressive meeting facilities, several with 40,000+ square foot
meeting complexes.
Award-winning
restaurants are especially proud of the freshness of their seafood and
boast that the seafood you eat on
Panama City
Beach
today was asleep in the Gulf last night.
Our restaurants present a pleasing blend of Southern charm and
international cuisine.
Other
entertainment options include: amusement and water parks, a zoo and marine
park, boat excursions (where you have close encounters with dolphins),
movie complexes and numerous night clubs and family entertainment
facilities. |
